Supergruppa Them Crooked Vultures gjorde sin aller første konsert i Chicago i natt, norsk tid. Vi har samlet de første reaksjonene.

Oppsettet var som ventet på forhånd; Josh Homme spiller gitar og synger. Dave Grohl pisker skinn for harde livet og bidrar i tillegg med koring. Og John Paul Jones…? Vel, han spiller bass. I tillegg støttes de opp av det faste QOTSA-medlemmet Alain Johannes på gitar. Hva så med musikken?

@jasunlee: For those wondering. Them crooked vultures songs sound more like new bad ass QOTSA songs than anything else. But QOTSA cranked to 40.

Most of these Frankenstein projects usually end up being less than the sum of their parts, but Crooked Vultures sounded like it was on to something fresh, invigorating and just plain nasty.»

«History tells us that super groups usually don’t last very long. But at least this particular one is off to a rousing start.»
